Mello-Dee Capps
Mello-Dee Capps Counseling is something I have always felt called to do. I feel so blessed every day I get to go to work. Even from behind a computer screen, I feel connected to clients. I enjoy seeing them develop their own understanding of why things happen. I have compassion for others that are hurting, and I want to see them work through that hurt at their own pace. No two people are the same and life affects us all differently. As a result, I tailor everyone's therapeutic experience differently. That is the beautiful part of being a therapist...I get to work with the person where they are, not where they were or where I want them to be.

Meet Henry
Henry has a very unique job at MCC Center. He is here to support Mello-Dee, but he is also here to support clients. It is much more difficult for him over the computer, but he is always listening. In person, he will sit near clients to add to their comfort. He will sometimes hide in his tunnel or behind a couch if he is feeling overwhelmed, but he is very interested in what others have to say. There are many times he looks like he is sleeping, but in truth, he is listening. His empathy is limitless.
Yes, rabbits have to come to people on their own terms, however, Henry really does enjoy sitting near people, getting head scratches, while providing comfort for others. With child clients, there are rules....no chasing, no hitting/kicking/being rough/being mean, and more than anything, he has to approach the client, instead of the client approaching him.
